How we collect & use your personal information

We collect data in various ways (this is not an exhaustive list): website, over the phone, visits from our BDE’s (Business Development Executives), TOC courses and exhibitions that we are attending.

In addition to the information you volunteer, our web server automatically collects such information as the domain name of the site providing you with Internet access, the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, the time spent on our site, pages viewed and information searched for.  We use this information in order to ensure that unauthorised users do not access the information on our site; and to measure the use of our site along with administering/improving our site.

We also use cookies to provide visitors a personalised experience on our site.  Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to the memory or hard drive of a visitor’s computer for record-keeping purposes.  We use cookies to allow access without re-entering the visitor’s ‘Log In’ ID and to better tailor our site to our visitors’ needs.  We also use this information to verify that visitors meet the criteria required to process their requests.

Most browsers used by visitors have options that allow the visitor to control whether the browser will accept cookies, reject cookies, or notify the visitor each time a cookie is sent, however setting a browser to reject cookies will prevent access to our site.  In addition you can delete TOC cookies from your browser program at any time.

The most common purpose to use your personal information is the formation of a new account, we also ask for your data to provide you with product information, marketing material, promotions and/or to register you on a TOC course.  Our mailing list has been collected using information provided by you or has been collated from information you have provided to third party organisations within the dental profession, those organisations have their own privacy policies that mirror those of TOC.  We only use your data for the purposes it is intended for; and we NEVER pass your data onto a third party that is not affiliated with TOC and does not have their own privacy policy.  An example of companies we would share your data is our courier DPD, this is necessary to ensure safe delivery of your orders, DPD’s privacy policy can be viewed at http://www.dpd.co.uk/privacy_policy.jsp

Data Storage

Your personal data is only held on TOC’s secure servers and is NOT shared with any other company for marketing purposes. We routinely update our customer mailing lists and data storage to ensure all information is current; data is kept on our servers and used only for the purposes that it is intended and is removed when said data is no longer required by TOC.  It you would like to be removed from our marketing mailing list or are no longer a customer of TOC please contact us at info@tocdental.com and your data will be permanently removed from our mailing list and our secure server.

Security of Information

We will take all reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information; this includes storing all the personal information you provide on our secure servers.

By agreeing to this policy and using our website or interactive services you acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure; and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.  You are responsible for keeping the password you use for accessing our website confidential; we will never ask you to send us your password (except for the standard ‘log in’ procedure on the website).
